Dana Foglia is an esteemed brilliance who has enhanced the dance industry and created a league of her own. She has been recognized and featured in Dance Spirit Magazine and Dance Informa Magazine, as well as on the cover of Dance Teacher Magazine.

Dana is the epitome of strength and raw technique with a sophisticated nuance. Her extensive training with Seiskaya Ballet Academy and the Alvin Ailey School are the core foundation of her technical excellence and resilient effort. While on full scholarship with the Alvin Ailey School, Dana was honored by being selectively chosen to perform with the Alvin Ailey Company. Subsequently followed by her entrance into Rhapsody the Company, where she received the highest level of commercial training and performance opportunities with Rhapsody James. Her steadfast plunge into the commercial dance industry resulted in acclaimed performance opportunities on TV shows, commercials, award shows, music videos and national, as well as international tours. She has danced on MTV’s Video Music Awards, Teen Choice Awards, the America Music Awards, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve, Good Morning America, and the World Music Awards (just to name a few), and has worked with artists including Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Rihanna, Kelis, New Kids on the Block, and many more. Rhapsody James, along with Frank Gatson are two major mentors who assisted Dana’s artistic development into the professional she is today.

Dana first worked as the Assistant Choreographer for Beyoncé’s “I Am…” World Tour and has since been a long-time choreographer and movement coach for Beyoncé with work on every major tour since including the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, On The Run Tour, The Formation World Tour OTR II, The Renaissance World Tour and most recently on the Cowboy Carter World Tour. At the MTV Video Music Awards, Dana received a Moon Man for Beyoncé’s Video of the Year “Formation,” winning Best Choreography in a Music Video. She worked closely on Beyoncé’s visual album “Lemonade,” in which she was honored to receive a Peabody Award for her work. She choreographed Beyoncé’s “Haunted” music video and had her choreography featured in Beychella. Dana’s choreography has been seen on the stages at the Grammys, Oscars, B.E.T. Awards, MTV Awards, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and the Super Bowl, as well as in commercials for Samsung and Farfetch. She has worked with numerous artists, including Jennifer Lopez, Jhene Aiko and Common. Dana choreographed the immersive experience show in Las Vegas at Bellagio’s Mayfair Supper Club, as well as choreographed as a guest artist and teacher at The Juilliard School.

As Dana made the shift from dancer to creator, this transition brought forth Dana Foglia Dance. Dana Foglia Dance is an unsurpassed combination of innovative movement and fearless artistry. From the Alvin Ailey School to Beyonce World Tours, the diverse integration creates a substantial depth of revolutionary repertoire. The company originated in New York City and although DFD is currently based in Los Angeles, they travel worldwide. The company recently performed in the United States, Canada, Sweden, London, and Switzerland. DFD has had the honor of performing with Beyonce numerous times under the direction of Dana Foglia. They were first runner up winners of the renowned ACE Awards in New York City. As well as performing, the members of Dana Foglia Dance are also teaching world-wide. While every company member is respectively an exceptional artist, the power and capabilities of DFD collectively are remarkable.

Dana Foglia has also created a thriving collection of intimate training programs to vigorously assist young artists with their development into professional dancers. “My favorite place to be is in the studio with people who are striving to be their best, with no reward at the end other than the work and the art,” Dana told Dance Teacher Magazine. Hundreds of students have participated in the Dana Foglia Dance Training Programs, from weekend intensives to 3-month mentorships, Dana is creating an army of dancers with purpose, focus and awareness. The constant evolution of Dana Foglia Dance, along with Dana Foglia’s continuing tenacious force, there is no telling the phenomenal accomplishments this woman will attain.
